Role Overview
We are looking for a Junior Full Stack Developer who is eager to kickstart their career in software development. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to grow by working closely with experienced engineers on real product features that impact thousands of learners.
You will develop your skills by contributing to both frontend and backend codebases, primarily using React for building user interfaces and Node.js for backend services.
This role is ideal if you’re passionate about coding, curious about product development, and excited to learn modern technologies while solving meaningful problems.
What You’ll Do
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested frontend code using React
- Support backend development and API integrations with Node.js(Express or NestJS)
- Help build responsive, accessible, and performant web and mobile interfaces
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and senior engineers to understand requirements and deliver features
- Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and team meetings
- Assist in troubleshooting and debugging issues across the stack
- Learn and apply best practices for version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows
- Contribute to code reviews and continuous improvement of code quality
- Continuously improve your skills through feedback, learning sessions, and hands-on experience
What We’re Looking For
- Strong fundamentals in JavaScript and TypeScript
- Proficiency with React — understanding components, state, props, and lifecycle
- Basic experience or knowledge of Node.js backend development
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and how to consume them
- Eager to learn new tools, frameworks, and technologies
- Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
- Good communication skills to discuss ideas and challenges openly
- Problem-solving mindset and willingness to take ownership of your work
Nice to Have (Not Mandatory)
- Familiarity with Next.js or server-side rendering frameworks
- Exposure to React Native for mobile app development
- Basic understanding of databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis
- Experience with Git or other version control systems
- Personal or academic projects demonstrating your coding abilities
- Internship experience or contributions to open-source projects
